Back being boho!

Hello Ladies, I know I am writing after a long time.... I have been really busy and also in a funk, more like suffering from a creative block. Somedays, you just don't even want to get out of the couch...  Do you guys ever go through this?? (Hopefully, it's not just  me) And then I have my besties who really push me and politely tell me "To get my s*** together". I am so grateful to have such a strong support system!! So here I am, refreshed and back after a good (almost) 2 weeks break.
Last weekend, I also went to Nashville along with my friends and we had an amazing time. I will blog about Nashville in the coming weeks. So keep your eyes peeled.

So coming back to my outfit, I am a "Boho" girl at heart. I love the undone, flowy, effortless style. This was one of the outfits that I wore on my trip to Nashiville, It was warm and sunny- so along with keeping the heat at bay, it also made me feel like a boho queen!

Shake your Pom Poms!!

I am in love with the new trend this season, it's the Pom Pom Sandals...  I first spotted them in Zara and they were close to $100.... When something is trendy and flashy, I usually don't like to spend a ton of money on them because they usually last just one or two seasons. So I thought - why not just make my own? So, I made them. It's an extremely easy DIY project and anyone can do it, You can make this with your kids, I am sure they will have fun with all he colorful Pom Poms.

To make the Pom Pom Sandals, you will need:
1. A pair of any plain shoes, sandals, gladiators. These are pretty good for $20 or these  for $16
I bought mine from TJMaxx. Cost: $20. You may also use any sandal that you may already have.
2. Pom Poms, I bought mine from Amazon Pepperell Assorted Pom Poms, Hot Colors, 300 Per Package Cost: $7
3. Needle and Thread, I started stitching the poms poms to my slippers, but they took way too long. So I used my hot glue gun and they were done in less than 10 minutes.
4. Hot glue gun (I already had this one at home)

Total cost: $27

Back with Black

My last week has been chaotic, stressful and fun planning our housewarming. When it comes to planning an event I tend to get over-ambitious and go over-board, it's actually a sickness and I can't help it. I guess it's genetic, my mom has it and so does my sister. But at the end it is all worth it.

After the long one week break, Here I am back with my outfit posts, another post, that shows and proves my obsession with culottes. And the obsession is for a reason, well, several reasons:
1. They are extremely trendy
2. They are comfortable
3. They can be worn for work or weekend, from day to night!!

I wore this to work, tried to keep it simple with a plain top, a simple long necklace and my Tote bag.

Go anyway!! Go Maxi way!!

Starting a new segment on the blog, where I will take one type of clothing and try 3 different looks. I got few messages on facebook, asking how to style a Maxi Skirt?  Also, please send in more ideas as to what you guys would like to see in the coming weeks.

Look #1: Maxi Skirt with a crop top
How to make your Maxi skirt look like a maxi dress?? Paired the skirt with a crop top, this top makes the skirt look like a dress. Paired it with a sling bag (which has gold embellishments) and black espadrilles to make it more evening appropriate.

Look #2: Maxi Skirt with a black tank top and Kimono
For a hot summer day, pair the skirt with a black tank top. I added a layer of Kimono to give it an extra flair of summer and cover my arms from the harmful UV Rays. Try adding a hat to your outfit. It's not only functional, it adds the extra dose of cuteness to any outfit.

Outfit Details: Black Tank: H&M | Kimono: Ross dress for less | Bag: Rebecca Minkoff | Shoes: Zara (last seen here and here) | Hat: TJMaxx

Look #3: Maxi Skirt with an off-shoulder top
This summer everyone is obsessed with the off-shoulder trend and so am I. I had been on a hunt for a denim off-shoulder top since spring. I also wore this on my trip to Spain, see my Instagram pic here. Paired it with my other favorite trend this season : The Choker (earlier worn here, here and here) and the most understated, extremely casual and comfortable "White Shoes". You can walk and walk and walk yet look chic all day!!

Try these outfits, send me a picture or tag me on instagram, use #MyNeonishLife.

Vest out of it!

Sometimes wearing jeans can be quite dull.  Adding a vest, adds the extra element to stand out and adds a layer and  dimension to an everyday plain outfit. I am into collecting pieces and accessories that would brighten up or make the outfit quirky.

It's all about trying out different pieces, mix & match them, accessorize them, play with colors and BOOM! you have an outfit to wear that you can be proud of.
